Here is the ultimate quick guide on setting up a standard 15×15 moon bounce.
1) Find a clear and semi flat area that measures at least 18 x 18 feet with 16 feet of clearance. It is important that there are no tree limbs or other sharp objects poking into the moon bounce. It is okay to set the moon bounce up on either grass or pavement. If you only have a surface like gravel or rocks, we recommend placing a tarp down to protect the moon bounce from any sharp points.
2) If you do not own a generator then you must place the moon bounce close enough to a dedicated 20 amp, 110 volt electrical circuit to plug in the blower. On a standard sized moonbounce a 1 horsepower blower is all that is required. These tend to pull between 10 and 15 amps of electricity depending on the manufacturer.
3) Once you have found the desired location for your moon bounce, unroll the bounce with the entrance facing the direction you want the guests to enter. All moon bounces should be rolled with the blower tubes last, so most of the time, this will mean your entrance will be in the center of the roll before you unroll it for setup.
4) Secure the four corners of the moon bounce with the appropriate anchors. If the moon bounce is on pavement, one should use sand bags or water barrels. If the moon bounce is on grass, Astro Jump suggests the use of 18 inch hooked stakes.
5) After all four corners of the moon bounce are securely anchored to the ground, attach the blower to the air tube on the side or back of the bounce. After you turn the blower on it should take about 5 minutes or less for the moon bounce to be fully inflated. Have fun!
