Why to Plan Your Spring Event or Birthday Party Early
The holidays are over, the days are slowly getting longer, and all of our sites are now turned to spring and the end of the school year. Unfortunately the groundhog saw his shadow so winter should still persist for a few more weeks, but the time is here to begin planning your spring event. There are a few advantages to planning your spring event early-
1) The Early Bird Catches the Worm

As you might guess, these items are POPULAR! By planning your event early, you get ahead of everyone else in making sure that you get to choose from our newest items or traditional favorites. 2) Permitting
Many events we work with require some form of permitting in the planning process. Public events needs to be registered with the state or county, local and federal parks require reservations, and many events require volunteers to help on event day. Astro Jump DC is able to help with many of these questions by pointing you to the right permitting office, suggesting event venues, and discussing how many volunteers you might need to safely monitor and enhance the fun. Starting your event planning early can leave you with more inflatable and venue options on event day.
3) Event Day Logistics
Successfully running an event requires basic knowledge of your venue’s facilities. If you are renting an inflatable waterslide, you need to make sure the water source is close enough to the waterslide. With every inflatable and concession machine rental a dedicated 20 amp power source is required. Where are your available electrical circuits? Do you have enough to power everything you need? These are some of the important questions to planning your event that are best answered well ahead of time. For many larger events this will take speaking with the building’s custodian. Astro Jump DC does offer generator rentals that can provide power to your event, but how much power you need depends on your venue and the setup. We can help you ask the right questions to find out what you have and need to make the event successful.The more information you have about your venue and set up the better.
