Bethesda, MD is a fairly large area within Montgomery County, and its yard sizes really vary. We rent moon bounces/bounce houses throughout Bethesda, The good news that Bethesda inflatable rentals don’t need to be limited by yard size. Some parks in Bethesda allow moon bounce and inflatable rentals in case your yard isn’t big enough or you want to rent an inflatable that is genuinely big.
Rules for Renting Inflatables in Parks in Bethesda, MD
For starters, Bethesda parks do allow inflatables, but you need permission first. You can apply for a permit on the Montgomery County Parks website or you can call them at: 301-495-2525.
Here are the other rules:
- Reserve a picnic shelter or park space first
- Apply for a Special Use Permit
- Inflatable rentals that require water hook ups are not allowed, so unfortunately, you can’t rent water slides, but the good news is we have a large selection of other inflatables that can fill that void, from large inflatable obstacle courses to giant inflatable slide rentals.
- Some of Bethesda’s parks restrict inflatable rental unless part of a formal event. Special events need to be open to the public, have larger insurance coverage (which Astro Jump has), and here is the other criteria.
Best Bethesda Parks for Moon Bounce and Inflatable Rentals
Inflatable Party Rentals in Bethesda’s Little Falls Regional Park
Little Falls Park right over the border from Washington, DC and allows inflatable rentals (with a permit). It is a great place for birthday parties and other smaller events. There is a lot of ample space and great for Bethesda moon bounce rentals, obstacle courses, etc…. There are fields, tennis courts, and open areas for your party to expand.
Carderock Recreation Area
Carderock is amazing, and it’s that much more amazing with a moon bounce, bounce house combo, or other inflatable. Located alongside Macarthur Blvd between Bethesda and Potomac, it is a great place for events with inflatable rentals (with approved permit).
Cabin John Regional Park
Cabin John is a great park. Typically inflatable rentals are only approved when they are part of a larger permitted event (instead of standard shelter rentals.
But if you’re throwing a larger event, Cabin John is a great spot for it. It’s centrally located centrally between Bethesda, Potomac, Rockville, and North Bethesda. It also has a great playground and related activities, like a train.
Glen Echo Park
Glen Echo is more than just a local park. It has arts studios, even spaces, a dance hall, and even a carousel. However, it is not ideal for inflatable rentals. Inflatable rentals may be permitted as part of larger events, but you can’t rent them for smaller gatherings, like birthday parties.
