Moonbounce Playlists

December 17, 2013

A couple weeks ago it hit me that we do not provide any music or playlist suggestions for moonbounce parties. I was reading the news and stumbled onto an NPR interview with Doug Shulman, former commissioner of the IRS, where he discusses what types of music he likes. I realized that if Doug Shulman and the IRS are discussing music, that Astro Jump, a moonbounce and party rental company that specializes in fun and children’s parties should also.

Almost every party we go to has some form of music playing during the event. Live bands, DJ’s, home systems, car speakers or even good old fashioned boom boxes are commonplace at most moonbounce parties. Heck, when people are in celebration, they want to bounce and dance! Music genres change depending on the party but they all tend to be upbeat. Whether one is rocking to the Beatles, singing with Raffi, or getn’ down with the Limbo Game Rental music mix, the music scene at moonbounce parties is a blast. Today’s blog post is going to address this music question and give a few words of advice on where to go for your next moonbounce party playlist.

 Limbo

Pre-made mix tapes are difficult to beat. Yes, these are boring and unoriginal, but produced mixtapes tends to have all the hit titles kids love. Browsing through your vast I-tunes library to build a moonbounce playlist can take a lot of time and end with or without success. If you would rather not deal with the headache, buying a mix tape is an excellent alternative. Mix tapes can be found in all different musical genres and purchased through an online source or by CD.

If you do decide to forgo the pre-made mix in order to create the moonbounce playlist yourself, you clearly have a lot of options from which to choose. It would be impossible for me to choose the perfect songs for everybody because music tastes are so subjective, but my advice would be to do as I suggested earlier and choose the most upbeat music. When children are endlessly bouncing their way to exhaustion, they want to rock out! Music from the YMCA to the Macarena will rock the house off that bounce house with happy children bouncing below.

If you decide to really make your moonbounce party huge, you can always go the DJ route. This is the most expensive option of all but can also yield the best sound options and music choices. On the flip side, if your party is in a park or somewhere on the fly, tunes bouncing out of the trunk of your car can be just as much fun. As long as the music is upbeat, the moonbounce party playlist will be a hit. Astro Jump knows how to throw a good party. Let us help you plan yours.
