Cotton Candy, Popcorn and Sno Cone Supplies
Astro Jump buys almost all of its cotton candy, sno cone and popcorn machines and supplies from Gold Medal Products. We are actually licensed dealers for Gold Medal and buy it for our own rentals as well as sell it to customers or companies that need supplies for their own needs or business. When it comes to buying the supplies, we try to condense our orders into one or two per year. By doing this we reduce the shipping costs, which can be extensive, and make sure we always have all the cotton candy, sno cone and popcorn supplies anyone could ever want.
Our standard concession rental, which once again includes sno cone, cotton candy or popcorn machines, comes with enough supplies for 50 servings. The rental includes all of the supplies you need for each concession with the exception of the ice for the sno cone machine. If we brought the ice it would be melted by the time it got to you, so we let you buy the ice. We suggest that people plan for a half pound of ice per serving of sno cone.
We also rent hot dog machines that we buy from Gold Medal Products. The hot dog machines do not come with hot dogs or buns, but rather serve as the holding and heating unit for them both. The heat is generated by electricity which turns the water in the pan beneath it into steam. The compartments in the machines ensure that the hot dogs and buns get nice and hot, but that the buns stay crisp and not soft (ick!).
For our other cool summer concessions we offer a frozen drink machine that is also supplied by Gold Medal Products. The frozen drink machine can play many different roles ranging from the innocent children’s birthday party to the wild and crazy adult summer bash. It comes with a wide variety of flavors to choose from as well. Some of the kids’ favorites are strawberry, blue raspberry and fruit punch. The adults tend to go for the margarita, pina colada or strawberry flavors and add alcohol. Call it a margarita machine or a frozen drink machine–either way it provides frozen slushy drinks. The machine works the best when it is not sitting directly in the sun. In normal conditions, when the concentrate and water are combined the machine will take a little less than an hour to turn it into a slushy. If the machine is placed in the hot summer sun, it may never freeze!
Last but not least, we also offer a machine called Pucker Powder. This machine comes in small (Pucker Powder Mini) and large sizes (Pucker Powder Deluxe) depending on what type of party or event is being held. The Pucker Powder machine is a sugar oasis. Equipped with multiple flavors of pixie stick like sugar, children (or adults!) get straws of the flavors to enjoy. This does not come from Gold Medal Products, but from a company that provides all sorts of sugary treats. Your dentist will not recommend the Pucker Powder machine, but your kids will still ask!
