Back in Action for Moonbounce and Inflatable Waterslide season!
March is here and Astro Jump of Metro DC is back in full action! While we do have work all winter to accommodate winter birthday parties and plan for the upcoming year, the beginning of March marks the beginning of “Moonbounce Season.” On Monday of next week our event planning staff will no longer be working from their homes and return to our offices in Lorton, Virginia. Our operations teams, who during the colder months work on a winter schedule, will once again return to our normal operating schedule.
This coming back together of the Astro Jump team is an important and exciting time. It is a time when we reunite as a team to learn about new rules and regulations for inflatables as well as experiment with some of our new toys. Experimenting with new inflatables, which this year include a variety of moonbounce combos, several large obstacle courses and our new line of toddler moon bounce combos, is absolutely critical to us being able to make intelligent suggestions to our customers when they call to plan their parties or events. By interacting with the inflatables ourselves, we learn what each has to offer and for whom we should be renting the piece.
For example, take our new Mickey Mouse Park Learning Club Moon Bounce Combo. This moon bounce combo is intended for younger children, but only through playing with it ourselves can we conclude that it is best for children five and younger. When we looked at all of our new toddler moon bounce combos, we decided that all of them–The Animal Kingdom, My Little Farm and The Mickey Mouse Park Learning Club–were best suited for children five and younger. This way, when a customer calls wanting one of these moon bounce combos and tells us that their child is 8, we can suggest a different style piece. If we didn’t look at and interact with the pieces, we would not do as good of a job making suggestions to our customers.
The experimentation of new pieces, learning of new rules, and reuniting of the Astro Jump moon bounce team is a great time of the year. It is a time for us to come together, learn, and get ready for the warm weather inflatable action.
