Astro Jump and Large Events

Astro Jump started in the mid 1990’s as a company that focused almost exclusively on birthday party ideas and birthday party planning. Now, 15 years later, we have grown into not only the go-to rental company for birthday parties but also an area leader in helping large institutions like schools, churches and homeowner’s associations etc… plan and execute large events. We reached this point by helping 30,000 of our customers over the years plan for birthday parties and other backyard and neighborhood events.

There are several features of a large event that make it more challenging to plan. First off, there are a lot more people for which to provide fun forms of entertainment. While we still specialize in inflatable rentals ranging from moon bounce combos to water slides, we have adopted many other forms of entertainment over the years that enable us to cater to groups of all ages. If we don’t have something that you want, there is a good chance that we can get it for you. When you have large numbers of people at one place you need to provide activities for all people to enjoy.

Other than having enough different forms of entertainment for a lot of people, we secondly will focus on the orientation of all of the equipment in order to keep the flow of your event moving. Keeping the flow of an event, as we wrote on in our post Party Flow and Planning for Large Events, is crucial towards throwing a successful event. Bounce houses, while a lot of fun, tend to not be the best inflatables for moving large numbers of people through. If you insist on wanting to bounce, for example, we might suggest a moon bounce combo or inflatable activity center instead. While both of these inflatables still have large areas to bounce, they also have other activities inside. They also each have a slide that once children go down leads them out of the inflatable so that the next child can get on.

The best inflatables for large events are dual lane obstacle courses, dual lane dry slides, dual lane water slides, and some of our other interactive inflatables. You may have noticed that many of these options say “dual lane.” This is important because it allows two participants to use the inflatable at the same time. Also, since use of all of these is quick because people are either racing or sliding, more people are able to use the pieces. The more people who get to use the inflatables for more of the time, leads to a better event.

Flow and having a diversity of inflatables or other rides/amusements for your guests are the two most important factors to throwing a successful large event. Throw in a few entertainers like face painters, balloon artists, or air brush painters and make the event even more fun.
