To Have a Waterslide Splash Pool or Not?
The hot summer heat is here and will stay until probably mid-September. It’s this time of year that leads me to question why I live in Washington DC. Many people dread the cold winter; I dread the hot summer. Even so, I recognize that most people would prefer to have the sweltering heat of the humid hot summers characteristic of the DC, Virginia and Maryland area, rather than a colder than normal winter. To help all of us endure the oppressive heat and to add a spark to your summer party, Astro Jump of Metro DC has a huge selection of inflatable waterslide rentals available. We have discussed some of our popular waterslides before, but for this posting I would like to focus on one aspect of the waterslide: the pool.
Waterslide rentals are available with or without a pool at the end. In my opinion the pool is one of the best parts of a waterslide. Not everyone feels the same way. Sometimes daycare centers prefer to not have a pool just to eliminate any risk of drowning that can occur with standing water. While our deepest pools are only about 2 feet deep, some organizations would prefer to have no chance of accident at all. Children will still get wet on a waterslide even if they choose one without a pool, but in my opinion is doesn’t cool you down like a waterslide with a pool. I like the pool because it is the refreshing ending to the fast trip down a waterslide. The splash in the end is like running through the finishing line at the end of a race. You made it!
We have waterslide rentals for all ages at Astro Jump and as such, waterslides come in all sizes. Strangely enough, however, the splash pools at the end of the waterslides tend to be about the same size. Exceptions do occur. The 65’ Tropical waterslide, which is the largest waterslide rental around, has a larger pool then a smaller slide like the 18’ Tropical waterslide. On the flip side, the Corkscrew waterslide rental, also one of our larger slides, has a smaller pool than the smaller dual lane run and splash waterslide rental. Either way, all splash pools are large enough for children to get wet and have a ton of fun.
